THE SCULPTURES
The
Fabric Chef™ creates her Soft Sculptures entirely
from various kinds of cloth — sewn, shaped, and painted. Decorated with
leather, Czech glass beads, felt, gem and wood cabochons, she conjures the
illusion of poppy seeds, nuts, frosting, and other delicious toppings. The
sculptures remain soft, like pastries and breads fresh from the oven, yet
eternally durable.

Jeanne The Fabric Chef
’s soft sculptures not only feature a wide variety of ethnic breads and
pastries as artforms, she also cooks up enormous eggs, bacon, sausage and
pancakes that look fresh off the griddle... of some jolly jumping giant who
prefers to eat flannel instead of Englishmen. She has created five-foot-tall
ice cream cones and giant taffy candies that make one feel like a child again.
Her magic art is the stuff of dreams, where one can take flight riding on a
giant ice cream cone and drift high over the
rainbow.
